I was pleasantly surprised when I listened to this album. I was expecting a lot of rap and more unlistenable tunes. Instead 2006 featured a bunch of very nice ballads, some light rock and just a few rap. For me, the high points were 'Bad Day' by Daniel Powter and the chilling 'Jesus Take The Wheel' by Carrie Underwood. On the down side was 'My Humps' by 'Black Eyed Peas' and 'Jenny Wren' by Paul McCartney. For someone who is not into FM radio, this album was an eye opener and shows some direction where the new music is going. Let's hope we can have more of the same for 2007.
